![]() ![]() That’s all Kodamas in The Hollow Fortress. For all other missions, check out the complete Nioh 2 All Kodama Locations Guide. You cannot reach it through the main entrance, it’s only obtainable via this optional Castle Gate path. It leads to a secret side entrance of the temple, and the Kodama is sitting behind a statue on the ground floor. Open the Gate with the key and follow the path. Then run back up and where you dropped down to the 5th Kodama and find the Gate there (it’s to the right side of the main temple entrance where the cyclops is roaming around). Defeat the Yokai and behind it is a treasure chest. From the platform with the 5th Kodama, drop down below and there will be a Yokai Realm in the temple to the left.In the screenshot you can see the temple entrance/cyclops on the left to give you a better idea of the direction. Turn up the volume to listen to the sound it is emitting. ![]() Before going in the temple (which has a Dark Realm inside), take a right turn and the Kodama will sit on a cliff below. From 4th Kodama, drop down the balcony and follow up the snowy stairs until you get to a temple with yet another snow cyclops and one of those rocket-arm enemies.Climb up the ladder behind the snow cyclops and walk to the end of the balcony. There will also be a snow cyclops walking there. From the 2nd Shrine, climb up the ladder right next to it, then follow the path up the right-side path (narrow path with yellow crystals on it). From the 2nd Shrine climb up the ladder right next to it, the Kodama will be sitting on the snowy cliff there (above the path where a Cyclops rolls down a big snowball). You can see it from afar (even during the elevator ride). After you use the elevator to get upstairs in the mine, the second Kodama can be found on a platform below.Right after climbing the very first ladder, there will be another ladder on the left (mine section with some wooden scaffoldings where enemies are mining the yellow crystals). Climb up that ladder and on top, behind some sand sacks, is our first Kodama collectible location. In return they usually give you a ton of rare consumables.įor help with the basics of Nioh 2, here's our combat tips page - including how to pull off a perfect Ki Pulse.Īlternatively, we also have pages on the best weapons we've found so far in Nioh 2, as well as the best skills.įinally, here's on page on how to get the most out of your Guardian Spirit and Soul Cores. Occasionally, a purple Kodama will ask for the smelly round thing - a dung ball - from your inventory. For example, if you only use light armour but have a ton of purple, heavy greaves, you can give them to the evil Kodama for a change at something more useful. This is a good way to swap out useless pieces of equipment that are high level and purple rarity. In my experience, if you give a Kodama a soul core, it will give you another of the same kind, whereas weapons and armour are usually different. This can be a weapon, a piece of armour, a soul core, or a consumable. The Kodama will then pick it up and reward you with a similar item of the same level and rarity. To play ball, you need to go into your inventory and press Triangle to drop an item. Once you’ve interacted with enough of them to learn their language, it becomes obvious they don’t even want to inconvenience you with their request - they just love shiny things. The “something” the evil Kodama want is an item from your inventory. To repeat, you do not have to purify or cleanse the purple Kodama to make them into their green cousins. What to do with Evil Purple Kodama in Nioh 2 It’s also worth noting that the purple evil Kodama do not count towards the list of hidden green Kodama in any given level. We’ve seen people trying to purify them with ki pulses, attack them, throw things at them, but all you really have to do is give them an item to trade. Other than the prompt of “It seems to want something”, it’s not clear what you’re meant to do. But what are you supposed to do when you meet the decidedly more menacing, but still very cute and friendly, purple evil Kodama? In Nioh 2, small friendly green spirits known as Kodama inhabit the land, and are scattered through many of the main missions that youll traverse. Everyone loves the cheery little green Kodama in Nioh 2. ![]()
